Camp Tips and Tricks
for the LC Parent

  • Directions to Camp:
    • Our Physical address is 292 L. Beauford Drive, Anacoco, La, 71403
    • We are located on HWY 171, 6.5 miles North of HWY 28 West
  • Label all Clothes and provide a packing list of your child’s items.
    • Items to include but are not limited to:
      • Please send a can of insect repellant or sunscreen to go into the camp supply for everyone to use.
      • Bathing suit, shirts, blouses, shorts, pajamas, laundry bag, shoes, towels (old ones), writing paper, flashlight, underwear, washcloths, socks, extra shoes, all toiletry items, hat, sunglasses, pillow, disposable camera, carnival costume, dance clothes, appliances such as wheelchairs, crutches, braces, wheelchair chargers, and a white t-shirt for costume making.
  • Be sure to pack enough medication for your child’s stay at camp. Medication must be a current prescription that is labeled. A seven-day supply is sufficient.
  • Be sure to join us at our closing campfire on Friday night starting at 7 pm sharp in the gym.
  • Check-in time for campers will start at 2:00 pm and continues until 4:00 pm on the opening day of each designated camping session.
  • Check out time will begin the last day of each session at 8:00 am and must be completed by 10:30 am that day.
1.   How do I find a sponsor for my child so he/she can attend camp?
If you know of a Lions Club in your area, please contact them. If you do not know of a club or need assistance please contact us at 337-239-6567.
2.   How do kids get to camp?
Campers from districts “N” and “S” in our mentally handicapped and physically handicapped sessions have the option of riding a bus to get to camp; otherwise parents, guardians, or designated Lions Club member will bring the camper to camp.
3.   How much does it cost to attend Lions Camp?
Camp is free; there is no charge for any camper to attend any of the programs.
4.   What district do I reside in?
Parishes in District 8-L:
Caddo, Bossier, Webster, Claiborne, Lincoln, Jackson, Bienville, Red River, De Soto, Sabine, Vernon, Natchitoches.
